Wildflower Meadow and a bit of Washi!

It’s Friday, Yippee!!  A busy weekend planned here, and most exciting of all is a bit of Stampin’ with a lovely group up the coast in Paraparamu on Sunday!

Today’s project is one I demonstrated at my catalogue launch back in July using the Wildflower Meadow stamp and coordinating embossing folder, plus a touch of Washi Tape!

Wildflower Meadow Smile

The other little touch I LOVE about this card is the Simply Pressed Clay Flower – I coloured it and then brushed on a coat of Crystal Effects which is what gives it that lovely shine!

Have a great weekend everyone and GO TEAM NEW ZEALAND!! Bring that America’s Cup back to NZ!

A different twist on the Gift Bow Die!

I have my Miss 6 home sick for the second day today – yesterday we spent a couple of hours colouring mandalas.  Today I’m going to get her to help me tidy my craftroom – it is in dire need of a straighten up!

Today’s project was a little gift I gave my Stampin’ party hostesses at the weekend.  I have had so much fun playing with the Gift Bow Bigz L Die and have used it on a whole heap of projects so far!  For this one, I did a little different finish on the bow by wrapping one of the small bow pieces around the middle:

I am loving the Gold Foil Paper from the Holiday Catalogue – adds a nice shine!  For this project I ran it through the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder – another new favourite!  I designed this bag so that if can be easily opened just by sliding the ribbon off the bottom – that way the gift bag can be re-used again and again!

This bow die is a must have for this years festive season – you can have all of your gifts looking WOW in just a few minutes!

Venetian Romance Sunburst

The starburst technique is very popular at the moment – it’s very effective but very easy to create!  I chose one of my favourite Designer Series Papers -Venetian Romance to create my burst!

It’s not very visible in the photo but I added a hit of gold by adding a layer of Brushed Gold cardstock.  It really lifts the card and adds a certain elegance!

Perfectly You Note Card

Another sneak at the Perfectly You set from the Holiday Catalogue to share today.  Once again it is one of the Make n Takes that we created at Home Office.

Sponged Hello There

I love this card – it is nice and simple, which means it’s quick to recreate.  But what I love most about it, is the sponging of colour over the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper!  I would never have thought to do this!!  The Modern Medley DSP is so classic and crisp in its original form, but add the splash of colour and it really sends it to another level!

And see those cool stripes on the envelope? A sneak at another new product – image stencils from the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit…I can’t wait to show you all the ideas I have for these!
