Monday Make – Watercolouring Bird Banter

I completely missed pre-scheduling a post for today SO you get this weeks Monday Make video on the actual Monday!  It’s the school holidays here in NZ and my girls have enjoyed watching the Commonwealth Games the last couple weeks, so today they decided to create a LEGO Commonwealth Games!  They have recreated most of the venues and now are holding competitions – such great imaginations!  Their happy creativity has allowed me to still create a video for you!

I decided to feature the Bird Banter stamp set today because it is so cute and it will be disappearing in just a few weeks time – yes it is on the Last Chance list so if you love this set as much as I do you will need to get in quick to order it!

I realised in the weekend that since the Stampin’ Blends were introduced I haven’t really done any watercolouring!  I LOVE watercolouring so it was time to bring it back!  The combination of Watercolour Paper, Aquapainter and Ink Pads is definitely one of my most favourite things – I love the amount of control I can achieve with the colour, and the way it kind of just glides over the card!

I deliberately let my balloon head over the edge of the card base – it adds an extra dimension to the card and is just fun.  Don’t forget that you can also use the small images in this set as embellishments by colouring and cutting them out – popped up on dimensionals they add great coordinated detail!  The Designer Series Paper I have used is the Tutti Frutti Stack from the Occasions Catalogue and this is also on the Last Chance list so don’t miss out on it’s bright, fun sheets!
