Just Add Ink Vintage

This weeks challenge over at Just Add Ink, was to make something vintage-y. I have been wanting to try out the Emerging Colour technique with the Medallion stamp, and my pack of Soft Suede cardstock had just arrived, so vintage seemed a great way to marry all these things together!
The emerging colour technique is very easy, but gives such a dramatic WOW effect! For this card I stamped some Very Vanilla cardstock with the En Francais stamp in Soft Suede ink. Next i stamped the medallion image straight over the top with Versamark ink. I then heat embossed the Medallion image with clear embossing powder. The final step was to brayer over some Creamy Caramel ink. In real life, the Suede script looks almost metallic gold unber the caramel ink – it’s really very pretty!
This card is quite a departure from my normal style of clean colours and lines, so it was fun to grunge it up a bit!
Stamps: Medallion, En Francais, Tiny Tags
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
Ink: Soft Suede, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip
Other: Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon, Button Latte, Hemp Thread
